25 Weeks

I'm 25 weeks today! Move'n right along. I had a prenatal appt this morning and the baby is doing great! So far, I've only gained about 4 pounds. Not too shabby. But I know how big my babies are so I know I'll gain more and more toward the end. Babycenter.com says that my baby is about the size of an average rutabaga. Ummm, okay, I'll just admit it...I have no idea what a rutabaga is. I'm sure it's a vegetable, but beyond that....I got nothin'.

Alison put a little scratch on my glasses today. It's minor, but so annoying! Can I deal with it for the rest of the pregnancy? I hope so! These are the pregnancy glasses that I got when pregnant with Sam. Wore them when pregnant with Alison, and now with this little guy. I don't want to have to make an appt, go to the dr, pick out new glasses, pay for new glasses, etc, etc, etc, just for something I'll only wear for a few more months.

Jason Felt the Baby Kick!!

The title pretty much says it all. It's so fun when the baby gets big enough for Jason to feel!

Samantha's Summer Reading -- Yay for Reading!

Sam finished her first page of Summer Reading...Yay! At the end of the page, she got a reading prize. The prize was a trip to the Library to pick out one of the For Sale books. They're only like 50 cents! She picked out the Spot's First Easter book as her prize and then when we got home, I showed her the Beauty & The Beast book and told her that was a present from me. She was so excited!!

Our Little Farm

The girls with some squash from the garden.

Our rabbits and chickens. Actually, they're still pullets at this age. It's like being a teenager.

Rib Kicks

Today is the first time during this pregnancy that I've felt the baby up in my ribs. Yikes, not fun! Samantha was always up in my ribs. Alison...not so bad. I have a feeling this one is going to be up there all the time.

Celery & Apricots

One day when I was pregnant with Alison, we were eating at Chili's. When we were done eating, I picked up the little piece of celery garnish and ate it. Within about a minute, I could feel my throat closing up. And within a few minutes, it was getting hard to breathe. I drank all my water and the left over of Samantha's cup of milk and eventually started to feel better, with my throat going back to normal. Well, this morning I ate an apricot and within seconds I could feel the same thing happening! I had a big drink of water and even though I don't tolerate milk well, it helps coat the throat, so I drank a cup. I'm not having as bad of a reaction as I did with the celery, but I guess I know now, not to eat any more apricots during this pregnancy.

And here's a funny comic for the day:

And hard as pregnancy is at times, let me tell you, it's equally as funny. In kind of a sad and pathetic way.

24 Weeks -- Slip'n & Slide'n

No, I wasn't the one slip'n & slide'n. But the kids sure had a fun time on the slip & slide today. Here is a picture of me today.

We invited some friends over so the kids could all play in the water. They had a great time! It was Sam's first time ever playing on a slip & slide and is convinced now that we NEED one. They also jumped on the trampoline with a sprinkler underneath it, went down the slide with the hose running down it, and enjoyed yummy popcicles.

Hungry

I've been SOOO hungry lately! Yesterday at church all I could think about was lasagna. All the kids little snacks weren't cutting it...I wanted FOOD! And every morning I wake up totally hungry. But I can't eat right away. I have to take my hormone pill, then wait 30 - 60 minutes before I can eat. Some days I can barely make it the 30 minutes. I'm thinking the baby must be having a little growth spurt because I don't usually feel so hungry.

Merika Came to Visit!

Merika was visiting for a few days from Las Vegas, so she came and spent some time with us. We lounged at the pool, played games, talk, talk, talk, talk, talked...and pretty much just hung out. It was so fun!

Samantha was so sad when she had to go! Most of the pictures I took of her were crying pics, but this one was pretty cute.
