Sleeping on the Floor

Jason and I always talk about how our kids have never fallen asleep in funny places.  They've never fallen asleep in the high chair, on the floor, while playing with toys, etc.
So it was really funny when we looked down at Jacob and found him like this.  It's 9:30 p.m. on Sunday night--I guess he was tired.  Too bad I hadn't laid him down in bed.

And then he did it again the next night at the exact same time!

Sam REALLY wanted a Zhu Zhu pet for Christmas.  I'm really glad Santa brought one for Alison too!

Christmas Family Photos

Merry Christmas
Thank you to my sweet friend Rosie for taking these family pictures for me!
Can you believe this was her first time doing this?  She's got some mad skills!
Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!
I love my family so much and wanted some beautiful pictures to showcase them.

Thank you for catching this moment!

I have to tell you the funniest thing about this shot of the whole family.  The placement of the girls is so typical of their true personalities.  Samantha is usually smothering people with affection, while Alison is less trusting and would rather keep her distance.

Sam is "posing" with this candy cane.  Typical Sam pose!  Love it!

Alison was not about to smile for Rosie, but instead, sported her signature smirk.
But just look at those amazing eyes!

The Nutcracker

Last year I took Samantha to see The Nutcracker at the El Campanil theater in Antioch.  She absolutely loved it and wanted to go back again this year, and every year!
I love you Sammy!

Samantha's Gingerbread House

Samantha got to make a Gingerbread House today in Kindergarten.  She had so much fun and was so excited to come home and show me!

Alison's Christmas Friends

When you walk into the Kmart by my house, this display greets you.
ALISON LOVES IT!!!
She calls them her "Christmas Friends".

And here she is last year at the same store!
(Sorry it's blurry.)

The "Chickens" Ruined Her Pacifier!

It's time to get rid of Alison's pacifier.  Check out this video of the lie I told her.

Christmas Rocks

Jacob is such a cool guy!  Check out his Christmas threads!

Santa!

Santa is so cool!  He comes to our ward Christmas party every year.
He's so busy this time of year--isn't that nice of him?

Okay, so Jacob wasn't very happy about this.
Alison wasn't excited either, but tolerated it so Momma could snap a photo.
Sam, on the other hand, was just giddy!!

Notice the subtle message Sam is wearing.

The Velveteen Rabbit

My most awesome friend Mandy took Samantha to see The Velveteen Rabbit tonight at the
El Campanil Theatre in downtown Antioch.  She said Sam loved it!
And I believe her--Sam couldn't stop talking about it!
Thank you Mandy!  Sam sure thinks you're wonderful!

Samantha's Baking Birthday Party

Decorating their Chef Aprons!

Making mini pizzas!
Alison!
Playing Hot Potato while wearing oven mitts.
Aunt Jamie helping Alison decorate a cookie.
Thanks for helping with the party!  I couldn't have done it without you!

I'm not sure why I don't have a picture of the kids decorating their cookies, but here's the finished product!  This was the highlight of the whole party!
Cookies, frosting, and a bazillion different kinds of sprinkles!
What more can a little baker ask for??
She thought this was so funny!
Her very own baking supplies from Mom!
Make a Wish!
At this point, the sugar was really kicking in!
Gett'n silly!
And even more silly!!
Addison's little sister Abby.
Addison was so cute--she was too cool to smile.
Jason was gone at school, so Mandy came over to help out.
Thank you!
Sam & Bailey
