Chickenprints

We don't get snow here, but on cold mornings we find a thin layer of frost or ice covering everything.
I just kind of thought this was funny.  Little chicken footprints in the frosty dirt this morning.

Playing Harry Potter

This is one of those glo-sticks that you bend to make a bracelet.  She wanted it to be a magic wand so she could play Harry Potter.  In the light, it didn't glow, but like magic, in the dark parts of the house, it glowed blue!  She ran around the house yelling, "Harry Potter!"

Alison's Phone Conversation

First of all, look at what she's using as the phone.
Here's what she said, "Hello Jamie.  When I a borned baby.  Goodbye."

Playing with Friends

Samantha REALLY wanted some friends to come over and play, so here are a few pictures of the kiddos...hard at play!

 Watching a movie.
Their mom didn't feel well, so they're making her "feel better" cards.
I'm pretty much a dork!  But hey, I think it makes me a cool mom.
Such rockstars!

Veteran's Day at Grandma & Grandpa's House

We spent Veteran's Day visiting my parents.  Here are a few pictures from our fun day.

Grandma & Jacob
She's just so darn cute!
Sam loves to help Grandpa with projects.
Here they're tossing scraps into the compost pile.

Grandpa & Samantha built a wooden airplane.
Alison needed a little downtime, so here she is watching some disney cartoons.
Painting the airplane!
Baking a giant cookie with Grandma.

Jacob has such a funny bellybutton.  I just couldn't help myself!
Sam picked all these little tomatoes.

Jacob & Samantha

Sam used to do this when Alison was a baby too!
Jacob just watched her the whole time and every once in a while he'd reach out and touch her.

Family Home Evening and Other Fun

Tonight for Family Home Evening we did a little gratitude craft.
I found it HERE at Scriptures 4 Kids!

Alison is thankful for:  Cookies, My Sister, My Mom, Bear, My Dad, My Brother, Nursery, Cartoons, Grandparents, Letters, and Aunts & Uncles.
Samantha is thankful for:  My Bear, My Mom, My Jacob, My Dad, My Alison, Jamie, Thanksgiving, Grandparents, Sister Merrill, Food, and Friends.
Jacob has been sleeping in his carseat because he's got a cold.  Poor baby!
Samantha made me a clock.
And wrote a me a little note on the back of it.
Two of her word-wall words at school are:  "I" and "like".

Jake's First Cold

Jacob is sick today with his first cold.
He was stuffy and fussy yesterday and then spent the night
sleeping in his carseat to help him breathe easier.

November in California

Just look at this awesome November weather!
I love California!

 "CANNONBALL!"
She was trying to minic the guy swimming the backstroke in the lane next to her.
I remember when she was TERRIFIED to even get her face wet.  She'd certainly never jump in.
Just look at her now!
I'm hoping to get her on the swim team next year.  She'll love it and I know she'll learn so much.
