WHY AM I AWAKE????

I know, I know, I know...I'm way behind on blogging. I'll catch up one of these days. But in the mean time, WHY AM I AWAKE??????? It's after 1:00 in the morning....I'm so tired....but my brain won't shut up! And now my stomach is growling too, but I really don't want to eat in the middle of the night.

Momcation

I got to spend the day at the beach with one of my most awesome friends! We both sooo needed to get away. A HUGE thank you to our hubbies for giving us this chance to escape!!!

We spent most of the day lounging on the beach in Pacifica. We both brought music and books, but spent the entire day just talking. It was heavenly! An all-day conversation with an amazing friend, no kid interruptions, on the beach!!

We also went to the movies and had dinner at the Spaghetti Factory.

Ribs, Ribs, Ribs!! And Pirate's Treasure?

Oh my....Oh my....Oh my...my ribs hurt! This little guy is constantly up in my ribs on the right side. Holy moly kid...just relax a litte bit. Chill. Quit kicking me! But, that being said, the upside is that I have a very predictable kicking spot. This means if someone wants to feel the baby, they'll be pretty much guaranteed to get the chance. Samantha got to feel him kick today for the first time. She thought is was REALLY cool! Then asked me why he kicks me so much. I realized that she wasn't curious, but concerned. She couldn't figure out why he was being so mean. :)

Jason removed the old furnace out of the floor/wall today. The girls thought it was really cool to watch, especially when I told them that there just might be a pirate's treasure buried under there. :) They got flashlights and started looking around.

27 Weeks...Tomorrow & Roasting Mallows

I'll be 27 weeks tomorrow. I'm really feeling bulky these days.

My carpel tunnel has come back in my left wrist. It hurts, but really, the annoying part is that my hand keeps going numb.

A few days ago I had a little scare. I was having REALLY bad lower back pain (very similar to the way it felt during my labor with Alison) and mentrual-like cramping. The worst of it lasted for about 25 minutes. I laid in bed for the rest of the evening trying to relax. The doctor says that I need to be staying off my feet whenever possible.

On a lighter note, its fun that other people can feel the baby now. He's really active! Loves to wiggle!

For Family Home Evening tonight we roasted marshmallows. Because I wasn't feeling great and didn't have much energy, we did it the easy way. I stole this idea from my mom. We roasted mini marshmallows with toothpicks over a candle. Samantha thought it was sooo fun! When my mom did the activity years ago, she added chocolate chips and golden grahams cereal to make them into smores.

Almost 27 Weeks

How did I get so big? I've only gained 4 pounds!

26 Weeks

This is how I feel:

I'm 26 weeks today. (And now I'm sitting here with nothing else to say.)

So um yeah...I'm 26 weeks...which means if I were to deliver exactly on-time, it means I have fewer than 100 days left. I know the baby still has lots more growing to do and I'll get much bigger, but I'm feeling rather bulky today.

Samantha is sick with the stomach flu right now, so I've been quite busy taking care of her. Luckily Jason was home all day yesterday to help out! But last night I realized I was probably doing too much because I had some light bleeding. That's never happened before in any of my pregnancies. It really had be freaked out. My severe groin pain has moved more to pubic pain...and it's getting worse. We don't have stairs in our house, but a few steps here and there. I took a step down one stair and felt a sharp pain on my pubic bone. The doctor has given me strick orders to stop doing so much and stop walking around so much, but that is really hard to do with little kids, especially when one of them is throwing up.

Birthday Dinner with Friends

My friends took me out for a birthday dinner tonight. I brought my camera, but forgot to take pictures of the whole group. :( Sorry chums! Anyway, I had a blast! One of the best Girl's Nights we've had in a long time!! Didn't get back home till close to 2:00 a.m. Yikes!

Luckily, I at least got one picture from the evening. This is Lydia and I. We're both due about the same time. She's having twins!! Makes you think I must be having quadruplets!! But no, she's just super petite.

Sam's Lizard

We have tons of lizards like this all over the place. We came home from Costco today and Sam found this one on the door. She caught it and played with it for a couple of hours. She was so happy! Sam once said to me, "You're not having fun unless your hands get dirty!"

Happy 2nd Birthday to my little Alison!

Alison is 2 today! We have a party scheduled for a few days from now, but here she is today! She LOVES Cinderella and has a new fascination with straws, so here is the new cup I bought for her today.
