Making Gingerbread Houses at School

I volunteer ever Wednesday in Sam's first grade class.  Usually I sit in the backroom preparing projects and doing paperwork, so I was really excited when such a fun activity landed on a Wednesday.  Here are a couple of pictures of Sam (and the little boy she sits next to) working on her gingerbread house.

Sam REALLY wanted a Zhu Zhu pet for Christmas.  I'm really glad Santa brought one for Alison too!

I have to tell you the funniest thing about this shot of the whole family.  The placement of the girls is so typical of their true personalities.  Samantha is usually smothering people with affection, while Alison is less trusting and would rather keep her distance.

 Sam is "posing" with this candy cane.  Typical Sam pose!  Love it!

 Alison was not about to smile for Rosie, but instead, sported her signature smirk.

The Nutcracker

Last year I took Samantha to see The Nutcracker at the El Campanil theater in Antioch.  She absolutely loved it and wanted to go back again this year, and every year!
