Love'n that Bottle!

Jake has been dealing with a lot this past week.  He's fighting a cold, an ear infection, and teething pain.
With all this, my poor baby can't breathe well, sleep well, or eat well.
I figured out though, that he loves the bottle.  Yay!
He's so much happier now that I'm pumping and bottle-feeding.
(And, of course, the antibiotic is helping too!)

Two In a Box

We have five chickens that live in a coop with six laying boxes, but they all lay their eggs in the same box.
Often times, I find them sharing the box at the same time.
I think it's funny.

The girls are watching cartoons and Jake is totally watching too.
He loves his exersaucer and enjoys playing in it every day,
but I noticed a few days ago that he spends a lot of time standing in it.
He's so strong!

Glow Worm

When Alison was a baby, she was absolutely TERRIFIED of this toy!
She would scream every time Sam pushed the button making it light-up and play music.
But Jake thinks it's pretty cool.

Radical Reader

Samantha received an award today at school for being one of the best readers in the class!
Yay Sam!

Here she is getting ready for school this morning!
I think she's growing up so beautifully!
Samantha's class is a K/1 combo, so one kid from each grade in her class got the Radical Reader Award
The other little girl is a first grader.
Samantha and her teacher Mrs. Neal.
Samantha and her friends, Amy and Angela.
Amy got the Marvelous at Math award.
I am so proud of my Radical Reader!
I love you Sam!

Food Storage is Important!

My little brother in Georgia sent me some interesting
photos that really illustrate why we need to have a
minimum of a 3-day food storage.

A few weeks ago the weather forecast was for snow
in the Atlanta area.
People rushed out to the stores to stock up.
These are authentic photographs of how certain areas of the grocery store where he works were emptied.
 No more meat!

 No more bread!

No more lunch meat or cheese!

No more potatoes!

And.....wait for it.....no more.....
