It was so fun to play basketball with my little girl!

Show-Off

Apparently, one of our chickens is an overachiever.
Look at the size of this egg Sam found today!

The irony is that we got a tiny egg last week.
Too bad we didn't get a picture of that one too.

My Beautiful Samantha

Samantha is an amazing girl.  I'm not writing this for any particular reason--she just is.
She is six years old and full of life!  She's a great big sister, a fun friend, and a wonderful daughter.

While I was feeding the rabbits and chickens yesterday afternoon I found her digging in the dirt with her daddy's shovel.  Apparently, she was digging for pirate's treasure.  It was 40 degrees outside and she was so cold, but it was very important to dig up that treasure.  I asked her how she knew there was a treasure buried there.  She said, "Because there's an X on the ground."  I asked how it got there.  She said, "I put it there!"  Ha!  So fun!

Garlic Knots

I have fallen in love tonight!
Fallen head over heels for Garlic Knots!

I got the recipe from my good friend Yvonne at Tried and Tasty.  I changed it a smidge, but the end result is the same.  Click HERE to see them on my family's recipe blog Let's Stout Cook'n.

Can't wait for my hubby to try them!

Sammy's Growing Up

I took this picture of Sam tonight--sorry it's a little blurry.
I thought it was so cute when Samantha got a phone call today from her friend Amy in her kindergarten class. Apparently Sam gave Amy her phone number so that she could call her--how cute is that!! They played a little phone tag for a while before they finally got to talk to each other. They talked to each other a few times throughout the evening.

Turns out getting to talk to her friend on the phone was great currency! She's a picky eater and meals are really hard, but with the phone on the line, no pun intended, she ate it all right up! And took a bath, washed her hair really quickly, and got ready for bed with no arguments, all so she could call Amy again.

My Hansome Little Man

Seriously, have you ever seen a little guy cuter than this?
Jake's Aunty Angie made this adorable bear for him. Love it!

Just look at this amazing smile!!
And doesn't he have such stunning eyes!

I found Sam reading Green Eggs and Ham today.

I'm so proud of her! She's really picking it up.
