Jake's First Bath

I gave Jake his first bath this morning. He was calm for the first minute or so, but didn't like it after that. Alison was my little helper, but really just ended up splashing him a bunch of times. I guess that's 2 year old help for ya.

I just love this kid!  Can't get enough of him!

So Foldable

Really?  This is comfortable?  I just love when babies are so foldable.  Jacob falls asleep while sitting up all the time and then totally slumps over.  It's so cute!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT JAMIE!!!

Sam made this J out of rice krispy treats and then frosted and decorated it for Aunt Jamie's birthday cake.

Jake's Bear

My girls were so worried that Jacob didn't have a special bear, so we had to get him one.

2 Weeks Old

I didn't feel this way with this baby, but this comic reminds me of a funny moment after I had my first.

After I had been home from the hospital for a few days, Jason had to go back to work. While he drove away that morning I stood in the doorway holding little Samantha feeling terrified, thinking, "Now what?  Don't go."

On behalf of newborn Jake: "Yeah, you'd be screaming too if you just peed during a diaper change and it got in your eyes and mouth!!!"

Mommy's not very good with boys yet.

Aunt Taunya Comes to Visit

 Aunt Taunya came over to visit this morning and hold little Jake.

 Everytime someone comes to see Jacob, Sam likes to hold him to show our visitor that she's such a good big sister.

Grandma Stout helped Sam make this cake to celebrate Jacob's birth!
